introduction

floppy and drive are sister reclists meant to emulate old UTAU reclists as well as more recent and modern reclists. floppy is 444 samples and drive is 877 samples (both including the two breath samples). They can be recorded in a string, or separately.
They are not extremely efficient to record for obvious reasons, but they strive for smoother singing and fluency in English. drive is more fluent in English and possibly other languages (though the fluency may vary...) because of more additional samples.

features

  • a presamp.ini file to make input with romaji much easier
  • vowel aliases
    • [V] and [- V] for starting vowels
    • [* V] for when a vowel follows a different vowel
    • [v V] for when a vowel follows the same vowel
  • differing aliases for Japanese [r] and English [r]
    • You may type in the aliases for the Japanese kana as [r] and [wr] for Japanese and English [r] respectively, but for English-encoded aliases, you have to type [4] and [r].
  • extra English consonants
    • [v]: [v] in "vine"
    • [ng]: [ng] in "sing". This is also an alternate pronunciation for Japanese [g].
    • [th]: [th] in "think"
    • [zz]: [z] in "zebra". This is also an alternate pronunciation for Japanese [z].
    • [zh]: [s] in "pleasure". This is also an alternate pronunciation for Japanese [j].
    • [dh]: [th] in "these"
    • [ff]: [f] in "fit"
    • [l]: [l] in "line". This is also an alternate pronunciation for Japanese [4].
    • [r]: [wr] in "write"
  • extra English vowels (mostly drive-only)
    • [3]: [ir] in "bird". This is also available in floppy.
    • [I]: [i] in "knit"
    • [@]: [a] in "about"
    • [{]: [a] in "cat"
  • aspirated consonants [kk] [tt] [pp] (only available in drive, including the other variants of them)
  • extra Japanese phonemes, and more English phonemes
    • extra palatalized aliases starting with [sy], [zy], [ty], [dy], [fy], [vy], [ngy], [zzy], [ly], [ry] (type as [wry] for Japanese aliases), [kky], [tty], and [ppy]
    • extra labio-velarized aliases starting with [kw], [gw], [sw], [zw], [nw], [bw], [pw], [mw], [4w] (type as [rw] for Japanese aliases), [ngw], [zzw], [lw], [kkw], and [ppw]. In floppy, these are not available with [3].
  • consonant clusters
    • [st], [st4], and [str]
    • [sk], [sk4], and [skr] (drive-only)
    • +[l]: [kl], [gl], [bl], [pl], [ffl], [kkl], and [ppl]
    • +[4]: [k4], [g4], [t4], [d4], [b4], [p4], [v4], [th4], and [ff4]
    • +[r]: [kr], [gr], [tr], [dr], [br], [pr], [vr], [thr], [ffr], [kkr], and [ppr]
    • In Yell and Tear's voicebanks, [tr] and [dr] are pronounced more like [chr] and [jr] because of my relaxed accent. Kamia's voicebank is the same but with [str] as well.
    • In floppy, these are not available with [3] except for [st]. [th4] is also not available in floppy.
  • contextual [ん] ([ん] and [んn] are the same)
    • [ん] before Japanese aliases starting with [s], [sh], [h], [f], [y], and [w]

    • [んng] before Japanese aliases starting with [k], [g], and [ng]
  • Ending [VC -] aliases
    • i.e. [ak -], [ik -], [uk -], [ek -], [ok -], [3k -], etc.
    • [Vst -] and [Vks -] are included.

  • Starting [C] aliases
    • i.e [k], [g], [s], [sh], [z], [j], etc.
    • [r] is aliased as [rr] to prevent complications with regular UTAU.

You may view the list of available phonemes and aliases for both reclists here.

oto guide

floppy lacks a base oto due to the nature of the recordings (so far), but drive will have one very soon... In the meantime, read this guide to otoing the extra samples in both reclists. (WIP)
